Oh What A Week
I have had a huge week off from work, I honestly feel like I have not stopped at all since Monday. I admit I have slowed down over the weekend so it has been nice to enjoy the last few hours of my holiday before I go back to work tomorrow.
I was out Monday, took my Brother to his Day Program and came home then went out with Mum to get some last minute supplies for our trip to Sydney. I was up early Tuesday morning so I could be organised and on a early train to Sydney.
The hardest thing about catching a train to Sydney is you're sitting there for about two and a half hours but we got there in the end. Mum and I then caught a taxi to the ibis hotel at Darling Harbour, we then checked into our room which had an amazing view of the Anzac Bridge and then Mum and I went off to do a great deal of shopping.
I can honesty say my wallet was extremely bruised with the amount of shopping I done on Tuesday and even more shopping on Wednesday.
On Wednesday we done some more shopping and went to the Power House Museum for the Colette Dinnigan Exhibit. The Exhibit was amazing and it was executed beautifully, the exhibit contained 70 pieces of the designer's archive. The details in the exhibit were just exquisite. If you are a person who loves Fashion I highly recommend you go see the Colette Dinnigan Exhibit before it finishes on the 28th August 2016. The website for the Power House Museum is www.maas.museum.
Mum and I mainly had Breakfast and Dinner at the ibis and it was good food, I had no complaints about the food at the ibis. We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday.
On Thursday we were up early, packed, went for breakfast and we then checked out and on our way home. Sydney was a lot of fun but after two days I had enough I was ready to go home. Mum and I got the early train home and my Dad picked us up from the train station, we got home and basically unpacked right away. I had an appointment at three pm so Mum and I went out for the afternoon, spent more money, had lunch. I had my appointment and we were on the way home.
Yesterday we went out for lunch at the Mattara Pub at Charlestown, it was really nice and the weather has been just perfect this week.
As I have said in the title oh what a week, I hope you enjoy this post and I will post some pictures of my trip very soon.
Until next time
Jenna
